A holiday celebrated on October 9th, the day on which Valencia commemorates the entrance of King Jaime I into the city after the capitulation of the Andalusians in 1238. It is commonly known as the day of the of the mocadorà, on which the single men gift their girlfriends with piuletes and tronadors wrapped in handkerchiefs, which is to say, marzipan and sweets that take the form of the fireworks that they used to launch in the celebration.
