José Luis Colomina (1873-1935)

I am José Luis Colomina, bourgeois, son of Louis Colomina and great-nephew of José Colomina.

I was born in 1873, 28 years ago. I studied at the University and travelled around Europe. There, in addition to meet contacts with the highest society of Milan, Paris and London, I learned that we have to stop Republicans, socialists and anarchist’s ideas before they infest society. Here in Valencia, Blasco Ibáñez Republicans have already arrived to the parliament and just won the municipal elections. People of order, the carlistas and turnistas party, should unite in a Catholic League to instil in workers the love of property, religion and their country. Precisely I have just sent to the Las Provincias of Teodoro Llorente an ode in Limousine to the brave soldiers who fought for Spain in Cuba. However, I have not much time to write, because although I can live off the interest of business and property of my father, I have very intense social life. Now, with my fiancée, a lady of lineage, I am preparing the conversion of the former silk factory of my great-uncle in a comfortable palace.
