I am Atanasio, administrator of the villa of patron Teudinirus.

I was born in Valencia 39 years ago and I serve as administrator of Sir Teudinirus's lands, having gained his trust with my knowledge of letters and numbers and my firm hand with workers. I direct the part of the villa worked by rustic slaves as well as the part divided between the servants for the census. This year the locusts struck lands in Carpetania, where my lord has possessions, but we anticipated the plague and were able to save part of the cereal harvest. I also oversee the payment of taxes from the villa to the Treasury, sell crops and buy products that come into the port of Valencia for my lord.
