I am Severiano, a slave.

I was born in the villa of Teudinirus. Though we had just inherited some land, my family was very poor. A drought year took everything, from my crops to my freedom. Now I live in a crude hut with otherrustic slaves, work the land of Teudiniro for nothing and am subjected to inhumane treatment from Atanasio, the administrator. In contrast, the domestic slaves are better off than the peasants. I´m sick of this life, and when I get a chance I'll run away from the village, far from here, and I´ll be free.
