I am Publius Crescens Quintilian, patrician and senator of Valencia.

I was born in the year 76, just a few months after the birth of our current emperor, the divine Publio Elio Hadrian. I fought alongside him under Trajan’s orders in the first major campaign against the Dacians. Out on the battlefield, under the protection of Mars, I solidified my friendship with Lucio Antonio Niger, whom I already knew due to an existing relation between our families. The military (militia) has been my life: I joined at age 16 and discharged not long ago after having taken the purpura senatorialand the post of legatus legionis in the belligerent provinces of Dacia and Britain. Now I perform outstanding services in the curia of Valencia.
