I am Leonor Montagut, widowed landlord from the city of Valencia.

I was born in Valencia 62 years ago into an important noble family, the lords of Carlet. I was widowed four years ago by the death of the honourable citizen Jaume de Torrens and inherited a large part of his fortune, which combined with my dowry has permitted me to live comfortably, investing in the city's census and in the leasing of municipal taxes. I have also been able to dedicate myself to my favourite diversion: I attend a literary circle at my brother's house, where we read and comment on the passionate poetry of Ausiàs March, the adventures of Tirant lo Blanch and about all the works of Father Joan Roís de Corella.
